Hi, I’m Natacha Piano, Italian-Swiss and multilingual (EN-FR-IT-DE-ES). I have always loved traveling and discovering different cultures, which has led me to spend extended periods living in Europe, North and Central America.
Who I am
For over 20 years, I have been passionate about medieval art and monumental heritage. My background is multidisciplinary: I studied art history, archaeology, and medieval history, and earned a PhD in Romanesque mural painting.
Passion
Activities
I have worked as a researcher, writer, and lecturer in several European cities (Geneva, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Leeds, Basel, Neuchâtel), and I have also guided visitors from all over the world through historical sites in Switzerland, Italy, France, and Spain.
In 2018, I launched my guiding activity in collaboration with Jura-3-Lacs and Bern Welcome. I love sharing my passion for medieval heritage with a wide audience. My goal is to show how medieval art and architecture bring ideas to life in surprising ways. I enjoy making these discoveries engaging and accessible, so that everyone can experience them personally—and perhaps even fall in love with the Middle Ages.
