><p>Moutier-Grandval bleibt einer der am wenigsten bekannten historische Altst\u00e4dte der Schweiz. Dennoch entdecken diejenigen, die sich in dieses Tal wagen, Monumente von unvermuteter Qualit\u00e4t. Am Fusse des H\u00fcgels, unterhalb der Kollegiatkirche, lassen Luxusgegenst\u00e4nde aus einem karolingischen Kloster aufhorchen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Stadtf\u00fchrung rekonstruiert ihre Lage und Ausdehnung. Schriftliche Quellen berichten, dass dieses Kloster zwischen 700 und 1200 eines der m\u00e4chtigsten religi\u00f6sen und kulturellen Zentren Burgunds und Alemanniens war.<\/p>\n<p>Doch erst auf dem Weg entlang der Birse nach Chali\u00e8re wird die Bedeutung von Moutier-Grandval wirklich deutlich. An diesem Ort erhebt sich eine erstaunliche ottonische Kirche, derzeit eine der letzten ihrer Art in der Schweiz.<\/p>\n<p>Ihre harmonischen Formen und ihre kaiserlichen ottonischen Fresken sind eindrucksvolle Zeugnisse der vergangenen Pracht dieses historischen Ortes.
